If you are a landlord and planning to rent out residential house property, then one of the most important things is their verification. Police verification of tenants is necessary to avoid any criminal activity. So, police verification of tenants becomes the responsibility of the landowners.
Which method is used for Police verification of tenants- Online or Offline?
Police Verification of tenants in Noida is done by Online method only.

ONLINE PROCESS
STEP 1: Download the App UPCOP from your mobile Play store. [Link attached here] |
STEP 2: On the Home Page, click on “Services” and select “Tenant Verification”. |
STEP 3: If you don’t have an account, then firstly Sign Up by entering the following details and submit. a) Name b) Gender c) Email ID d) Mobile number e) Password f) Confirm Password |
STEP 4: Once you Sign Up, Login via OTP or via Password |
STEP 5: Now enter the Tenant details |
STEP 6: Fill the Owner Information |
STEP 7: Upload a passport size photograph of Tenant |
STEP 8: Click on declaration and submit. |
STEP 9: Post submission, pay Rs. 50/- as processing fees online. |
STEP 10: The Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) and District Crime Record Bureau (DCRB) will conduct the verification. After the approval of SSP, a report will be generated online. |
STEP 11: You can check the status online through the UBCOP App. |
This process takes around 15-20 days for completion.
It is done to avoid any fraudulent activity in the future for which the landowner will be held responsible. This process is now hassle-free and less time consuming.
